Cowdry bodies are eosinophilic nuclear inclusions composed of nucleic acid and protein seen in cells infected with Herpes simplex virus, Varicella-zoster virus, and Cytomegalovirus. They are named after Edmund Cowdry. There are two types of intranuclear Cowdry bodies: * Type A (as seen in herpes and VZV infections) 〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Herpes Group (Cytomegalovirus, Herpes simplex, Varicella/Zoster, Epstein-Barr) )〕 * Type B (as seen in infection with poliovirus), though it may seem that this is an antiquated and perhaps illusory type.〔http://stanford.wellsphere.com/brain-health-article/whiter-the-illusory-cowdry-b-inclusion-of-polio/491368〕 Light microscopy is used for detection of cowdry bodies. ==References== 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Cowdry bodies」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
